January 2012
Membership of Leyland and Farington Social Club – Keith suggested that members simply allow this to lapse.
Membership of RAFA – Dave Fleming provided membership cards for all current members of LM.
Key Note Speaker – The Autumn speaker, Trevor Griffiths, had been restricted by the limited technology available at L&F Social Club. The Spring date is expected to be the third Sunday in March, the venue will depend on the requirements of the speaker, yet to be confirmed, and the availability of the RAFA club. There is a possibility that Keith's connections with UCLA for the Preston Guild may allow access to the university's facilities.
Lancashire Monochrome Annual Exhibition at Leyland
To be opened by the Mayor on Saturday 4 February at 11:00.
Any members who haven't yet handed their framed prints to Dave Lewis, please bring them to the regular Leyland Wednesday night meeting at RAFA and hand them over to Dave – last chance is Wednesday 1 February. ....... more info.
Recommended Local Exhibitions

November 2011
Change of Venue:
- Keith told everyone that this would be our last regular meeting at Leyland and Farrington Social Club. For financial reasons the club will no longer open on Mondays and our long association will be broken. Please note that the Autumn Key note speaker date, Sunday 27 November, has been safeguarded and will go ahead as planned at L&F Social Club. Fortunately Dave Lewis has found an excellent solution very close by at the Royal Air Force Association Club, Westby House, Golden Hill, Leyland, PR25 3NN. The RAFA club is very similar to the L&F social club with secure storage facilities, and limited, free, on-street parking after 6:00 p.m. and plenty of car parking spaces on the railway station car park at £1 pay and display.
UPDATE: After meeting with the club secretary, Dave Flemming has been able to confirm that our next scheduled meeting on Monday 5 December will be at the RAFA club and that all our planned 2012 dates have been secured.
(Map and directions are now shown on this website)
